Understanding Fire Ratings

Metal fire doors are designed with a solid core to prevent fires from spreading throughout your building. To add to their efficacy, intumescent edging expands when exposed to life-threatening temperatures. That forms a heat-resistant gap between your wall and door while simultaneously keeping smoke out.

Our FireKing rolling doors have an optional time-delay release, smoke detectors, and warning strobes. Their fusible links protect against ambient temperatures of over 100 degrees Celsius. They’re also slick enough to give your brand oomph.

Fire Sentinel has one of the most intelligent collections on the market, so it’s a worthy addition to our range. Its NFPA72-compliant products have a diagnostic system and intuitive reset management. Add Fire Sentinel features to your FireKing doors for extra functionality.

We stock:

  • Model 630: FireKing’s standard rolling door with a three-hour rating. The 630 is offered in 18- to 22-gauge galvanized and stainless steel.
  • Model 631: FireKing’s small rolling door, which carries the same specs as the 630. An easy drop test and reset system gives you full control of operation.
  • Model 634: This is FireKing’s premium flagship model, offering an impressive four-hour UL label. It adds sound resistance and insulation to its powers.
  • Model 635: This door wraps insulation, soundproofing, and fire resistance into a single product. It leverages powerful mineral wool slat inserts to achieve a smoke and flame index of five.
  • Model 640 and 641: Galvanized and stainless-steel rolling doors with three-hour UL labels. These models are counter door products perfect for fast food outlets and schools.
  • Model 660 and 662: FireKing’s stainless steel frame and sill units with integral frames and hoods. An airtight fit is achieved with a frame, curtain, and bottom bar.
